September 12, 2005 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Las Vegas Rattlers News Release

Las Vegas, NV. Gil Morgan, CEO of the ABA Las Vegas Rattlers, and a former Vietnam war veteran, will be there when his son Nick and his unit ship off to Iraq on October 1st. Originally scheduled to leave earlier, most members of the unit are from Louisiana and the Army gave them extra leave time to check on and care for their families who were victims of Hurricane Katrina. Mr. Morgan stated, "While I am not happy to see my Nick in such a dangerous situation, we know that freedom is never free - and we fully support what our troops are doing. I'm very proud of Nick and his unit and our prayers go with them all." He added, "Nick is a very big ABA fan and Rattlers fan, so we are going to record all of the Rattlers games for him." For more information about the Las Vegas Rattlers, email gmorgan29@aol.com or visit www.abalive.com. And from the ABA, Nick and your fellow soldliers, good luck, be safe, we're proud of you and our prayers are with you also. God bless you all. -
