
Iowa Wild Raises over $13,000 for ALS

Des Moines, IA - The Iowa Wild announced on Thursday the team raised $13,481 for the Iowa Chapter of the ALS̩̉ Association Iowa through a jersey auction which ran over Opening Weekend.
"Partnering with the Iowa Chapter of the ALS Association is the first step of many we plan on taking in the community," said Iowa Wild President Todd Frederickson. "Giving back to organizations like this is a priority for us in central Iowa and we will continue to partner with these types of groups throughout the season in conjunction with our theme nights."
As part of a partnership for Opening Weekend, the Iowa Wild wore a specialty inaugural season patch on each player's jersey. Fans were able to bid on the game-worn jerseys via a silent auction on the concourse over Opening Weekend. The auction concluded at the end of the second intermission of Sunday's game on Oct. 13. In all, 29 jerseys were auctioned off for a total of $13,481. A portion of the proceeds from the auction will benefit the Iowa Chapter of the ALS Association.
The Wild will return home on Thursday, Oct. 24 to host the Chicago Wolves at 7:05 p.m. The game marks the beginning of a five-game home stand for the Wild who will also host the Grand Rapids Griffins on Sunday, Oct. 27 at 5:05 p.m. The game will feature the Subway Family Four Pack, with four tickets, four hot dogs, four hats, four sodas and four popcorns, starting at $44. The game on Oct. 27 will also feature a Halloween Costume Party for fans and a postgame skate.
Fans may purchase single game tickets multiple ways, either through the team's website - www.Iowawild.com, Wells Fargo Arena box office or Dahl's Ticketing. Tickets are available online at www.iowawild.com under the single game tickets tab. Fans may also purchase tickets by calling 1-866-55-DAHLS (32457) or by visiting one of 13 Dahl's Food Stores locations in the greater Des Moines area, and in Ames. The Iowa Wild's inaugural season is presented by Mercy Medical Center and runs through April of 2013. Season tickets to see the Wild play at Wells Fargo Arena start at just $9 per game.
