Intimidators Set To Face Warthogs In Exhibition April 1st

Kannapolis, NC - Many past and present Kannapolis Intimidators will take the field April 1st when the Intimidators meet up with the Winston-Salem Warthogs in a exhibition to get both clubs ready for the 2008 season. The Intimidators will host the pre-season tune up at Fieldcrest Cannon Stadium starting at noon. This will be the first chance for Intimidators fans to see the team before Kannapolis opens the season on the road April 3rd.

The Intimidators (South Atlantic League) and the Warthogs (Carolina League) are both affiliates of the Chicago White Sox. And although rosters have not been announced yet by the White Sox, the Warthogs are expected to have many past Intimidators on their roster. Winston-Salem is a step up from Kannapolis on the White Sox development ladder.

Prior to the exhibition the Intimidators will hold Media Day for members of the media to meet the coaching staff and players. Media Day will start at 10 a.m. with the exhibition to follow.

Kannapolis opens the 2008 South Atlantic League season on Thursday, April 3rd in Greenville, SC against the Drive. The Intimidators return for the home opener Monday, April 7th versus the Asheville Tourists.
