(Hagerstown, MD) – Carlos Sosa drove in the winning run with bases loaded and one out on a fielder's choice ground out to second in the twelveth inning giving the Suns a 4-3 win Sunday in Hagerstown.

The Intimidators (16-13) took the lead in the top of the first with Edgar Varela's RBI single scoring Andy Salvo.

Aaron Hornostaj tied the game for the Suns (13-17) scoring a run in the bottom of the first on an error by Pedro Lopez.

After Hagerstown tied the game in the bottom of the fourth, both teams were scoreless until the top of the sixth when Varela collected his second RBI of the game scoring Tom Brice on a single up the middle.

Paulino Reynoso started for the Intimidators but did not factor in the decision allowing two unearned runs on just two hits in four innings of work walking six and striking out four. Todd Deininger was solid in middle relief retiring 12-of-13 batters faced in four innings while striking out three.

Josh Rupe (1-1) took the loss, his first of the season giving up two runs in two innings of work. Jeremy Schmidt (1-0) earned his first win allowing one run on two hits in one inning of work.

The two clubs will play a double header on Monday night at Municipal Stadium to make up a rained out game in Kannapolis from early April. First pitch is 6:05pm.
