Inter Miami CF News Release
Inter Miami CF announced today the hiring of Dawn Scott as Performance Director. Scott adds significant experience to the Inter Miami staff, having worked for the U.S. Women's National Team, where she was part of two FIFA World Cup title campaigns, the England Women's National Team, FIFA and UEFA.
Scott will oversee the Performance Department for the First Team, Fort Lauderdale CF and the Inter Miami CF Academy, and will report directly to Chief Soccer Officer and Sporting Director Chris Henderson.
"We're excited to welcome an accomplished professional like Dawn to Inter Miami," said Henderson. "Dawn has years of experience in performance training at the highest levels and we're excited about what she will add to our Club as she oversees the Performance Department for the First Team, Fort Lauderdale CF and the Inter Miami CF Academy."
The Newcastle, England native most recently worked for the England Women's National Team and Team Great Britain, working alongside former England manager and current Inter Miami CF head coach Phil Neville. She served as the Senior Women's Physical Performance Manager from Dec. 2019 until Sept. 2021. Prior to her most recent stint with the team, Scott also served as the Head of Sport Science for the England Women's National Team for nearly nine years, joining in June 2001 until Feb. 2010.
Following her first stint with England, Scott then joined the U.S. Women's National Team, serving as the High Performance Manager for nearly 10 years, joining in Feb. 2010 until Nov. 2019. During her time with U.S. Soccer, the team reached three FIFA World Cups, winning two of them, and two Olympic Games, including one which resulted in a gold medal campaign.
Scott has also held roles with both UEFA and FIFA; she worked as part of the UEFA Fitness Advisory Group, joining in Dec. 2020, and has also served as a Technical Consultant for FIFA since April 2015, tasked to conduct the Physical Analysis of the FIFA Women's World Cup in 2015 and 2019.
