San Bernardino, CA - The Inland Empire 66ers need a serious turnaround in the second half of the season to ensure a second straight trip to the playoffs, and to help prepare they will push back the start time of their Sunday games to 6:05. .
To celebrate the first 6:05 Sunday start, the Inland Empire 66ers will give away Bernie Bobble Belly's to the first 1,000 fans at San Manuel Stadium this Sunday, June 24th. This unique bobble will be part of the celebration of Bernie's birthday, featuring mascots from around the area who will join Bernie to celebrate the occasion.
Other special Sundays in the second half of the 2012 season include an Angels water bottle giveaway presented by the City of San Bernardino Public Services and 1-800-RECYCLE on Sunday, July 15th, and the final Sunday of the season, August 26th, when the 66ers hope to secure a post season berth taking on division rival High Desert.
For those fans looking for one last chance at daylight baseball at San Manuel Stadium in 2012, there is an 11 AM game on Wednesday, June 27th when the 66ers wrap up their series against the Lake Elsinore Storm.
