Injury Update: Ventura Alvarado, Kieran Gibbs, Ryan Shawcross

Inter Miami CF provided today an injury update presented by Baptist Health for defenders Ventura Alvarado, Kieran Gibbs and Ryan Shawcross.

Alvarado, who suffered a left knee injury ahead of the Aug. 18 match against the Chicago Fire FC, received surgery at Baptist Health and is expected to be available for team selection in two to four weeks.

Gibbs, who suffered a left groin injury on Friday, Aug. 27 at Orlando City SC, is expected to be available for selection in two to four weeks.

Shawcross, who suffered a back injury ahead of the Aug. 14 match at New York City FC, is being evaluated on a day-to-day basis for his return to team selection.

Inter Miami returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 4 to face FC Cincinnati at TQL Stadium. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. ET on the Inter Miami App, CBS4, CW34 and UniMás.
