BBVA Stadium to Host Tigres UANL vs. Deportivo Toluca FC on October 9

HOUSTON - BBVA Stadium will host a friendly between Tigres UANL and Deportivo Toluca FC at 8 p.m. CT on Saturday Oct. 9, the teams announced today.

Tickets for the match will start at $40 and will go on sale Monday, Sept. 5 at 10 a.m. CT. Tickets will be available at the stadium's box office, SeatGeek.com, usual retail locations and BBVAStadium.com.

Houston Dynamo FC and Dash season ticket holders and corporate partners will have exclusive access to a no-fee presale beginning on Friday.

Tigres returns to BBVA Stadium for the first time since their penalty kick triumph over Club America on Aug. 20, 2019 in the inaugural edition of the Leagues Cup. The Tigres women's team will visit BBVA Stadium on Sunday. Sept. 19 to take on the Houston Dash in a friendly match.

Tigres are led by former Mexican National Team manager Miguel Herrera and are currently on a five-game unbeaten run in league play. Their only loss of the campaign came on the road against Toluca in the second game of the season. The roster includes veterans of the Mexican National Team like Carlos Salcedo, Javier Aquino and Luis Alfonso Rodriguez.

Toluca currently sits in third place after opening the season with four victories in their first seven games. The team is managed by club legend Hernán Cristante, who won eight trophies with Toluca as a player. Toluca reached the quarterfinals of the 2021 Guardianes postseason, falling short of their 11th domestic title. The team is led by LigaMX All-Star Rubens Sambueza and Paraguayan attacker Braian Samudio.

Along with the addition of this match to the BBVA Stadium event calendar, the Houston Dash home match against the North Carolina Courage has been moved to Sunday, Oct. 10 at 6 p.m. CDT.
