Inferno lose 1-0 in OT

COLUMBIA, S.C. (April 22, 2008)-The Columbia Inferno lost 1-0 to the Texas Wildcatters on Tuesday night to drop game three of their best-of-five series.

The Inferno and Wildcatters skated through three scoreless periods of an epic playoff game before Jordan Morrison followed up his own rebound to beat Todd Ford with a backhander 11:59 into overtime.

The two clubs traded chances through an evenly matched game that saw 35 shots for the Wildcatters and 36 for the Inferno. Both Ford and Anton Khudobin each made 35 saves. Each club also took 12 minutes worth of penalties and both teams were held scoreless on the man-advantage, going 0-for-6 in the process.

The Inferno's heartbreaking loss gives the Wildcatters a 2-1 series lead. Game four will be held on Wednesday, April 23 at 7:05 p.m. at the Carolina Coliseum.
