Indy's Hildebrand Named CCM ECHL Goaltender of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Jake Hildebrand of the Indy Fuel is the CCM ECHL Goaltender of the Week for Nov. 7-13. It is the second time this season that Hildebrand has captured the weekly honor.

The 23-year-old went 2-0-0 with one shutout, a 0.96 goals-against average and a save percentage of .970 in two appearances last week.

A native of Butler, Pa., Hildebrand made 27 saves in a 3-2 shootout win at Alaska on Friday and stopped all 37 shots he faced in a 2-0 victory over the Aces on Saturday to record his first professional shutout.

Under an AHL contract with Rockford, Hildebrand has appeared in seven games for the Fuel this season posting a record of 4-2-1 with one shutout, a 2.82 goals-against average and a save percentage of ..912.

Hildebrand has seen action in 13 career ECHL games with Indy and Allen going 9-3-1 with one shutout, a 2.58 goals-against average and a save percentage of .918.

Prior to turning pro, Hildebrand played four seasons at Michigan State University where he saw action in 133 career games, recording a 2.54 goals-against average to go along with a .921 save percentage. He also played three seasons in the United States Hockey League with Cedar Rapids and Sioux City.

Also Nominated: Eric Hartzell (Fort Wayne), Branden Komm (Idaho), Ryan Faragher (Utah), Doug Carr (Wheeling) and Scott Greenham (Wichita).
