Indy Eleven Acquires Goalkeeper Bryan Meredith Via Loan from Major League Soccer's Nashville SC

Indy Eleven News Release
INDIANAPOLIS - Indy Eleven completed what essentially amounted to a goalkeeper swap with Major League Soccer's Nashville SC today by acquiring veteran netminder Bryan Meredith via a loan agreement for the remainder of the 2022 USL Championship season. Per club policy, financial details surrounding the agreement, which is pending federation approval, will not be released.
"I'm excited to get going here with Indy Eleven and to help the squad continue to push for three points every time out," said Meredith, who joined the Boys in Blue for training at Grand Park on Thursday. "This is a big opportunity for me to get some games under my belt for a club that has been doing really well this season."
Today's transaction comes just two days after Nashville SC recalled goalkeeper Elliot Panicco from his loan stint with Indiana's Team. Alongside Panicco and former Nashville SC goalkeeper Tor Saunders (currently on loan with USL League One's Chattanooga Red Wolves SC), Meredith is the third goalkeeper with ties to the Music City squad in recent seasons to land on Indy Eleven's 2022 roster.
"To have someone with Bryan's experience joining our goalkeeping corps will provide immense value to our squad every single day," said Indy Eleven Head Coach Mark Lowry. "We welcome the competitive nature and leadership Bryan will add to our squad and thank Nashville SC for continuing to work with our club in a way that benefits both our organizations."
Meredith joins Indiana's Team after spending the last nine seasons on the rosters of Major League Soccer sides Nashville SC (2021-22), Vancouver Whitecaps FC (2020), Seattle Sounders FC (2011-12, 2017-19), and the San Jose Earthquakes (2014-16), making 24 appearances in regular season and Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup competition. During his second stint with Seattle, Meredith also logged 25 games with their USL Championship affiliate Tacoma Defiance FC across the 2017-19 seasons.
Following his first go around with Sounders FC, the Monmouth University product headed overseas to join Swedish side IK Brage for their 2013 campaign. Later that year Meredith jumped to the New York Cosmos, where he joined now current Eleven teammate Ayoze on the squad that captured the 2013 NASL Soccer Bowl title.
Indy Eleven continues its USL Championship campaign this Saturday, May 28, with the renewal of its annual Racing Indy Game at IUPUI Carroll Stadium. Fans are encouraged to make it a full day in downtown Indy, as the special 4:00 p.m. ET kickoff will allow patrons to experience both the 500 Festival Parade (starting at 11:45 a.m.) and the Eleven's matinee contest against New Mexico United to follow. Full details surrounding the Racing Indy Game - including a limited-edition Indy Eleven/IMS jersey and scarf for purchase - and future promotional dates at Carroll Stadium can be found at indyeleven.com/promotions.
Tickets for Saturday afternoon's match - and all Indy Eleven regular season contests - are available starting at just $15 and can be purchased online at indyeleven.com/tickets. Fans who cannot make it to The Mike can follow the action on MyINDY-TV 23, Exitos Radio 94.3 FM/exitos943.com, and the @IndyElevenLive Twitter feed, presented by Central Indiana Honda Dealers.
