
Indians Sign Third Sacker Hutcheon to Finish Season

(Avon, OH:) The Lake Erie Crushers, presented by Mercy Health, announced Monday the Cleveland Indians have signed Infielder Dane Hutcheon to a minor-league contract. Hutcheon will report immediately to the Lake County Captains to finish out the 2018 season.
Hutcheon, who is from Colorado Springs, Colorado, hit .305 this season in 71 games with the Crushers, playing primarily Third Base. He also belted three home runs while driving in 29, and was leading the Crushers in hitting at the time he was signed. The former Minnesota Twins draft pick will not be traveling far, as he was immediately assigned to the Lake County Captains in Eastlake, Ohio, just 40 miles east of Sprenger Stadium.
