Indianapolis Indians News Release
INDIANAPOLIS -- The Indianapolis Indians are guaranteeing warm weather for Opening Day at Victory Field after a record-high temperature in central Indiana this week.
Fans can count on the game-time temperature being at least 60 degrees when the Tribe faces Columbus on Thursday, April 5, at 2 p.m. If the contest starts with a temperature of below 60, everyone in attendance will receive a FREE ticket to another home game in April.
"Opening Day at Victory Field is always a special occasion," Indians Vice President & General Manager Cal Burleson says. "This year, we are giving fans one more reason to join us for the start of what promises to be a great season. The team is coming together nicely under the sunny skies of Florida, and we're doing our best to bring some of that sunshine up north on April 5."
The season-opening homestand features four contests against the Clippers (April 5-8) and three affairs vs. the Toledo Mud Hens (April 9-11). Everyone in attendance on April 5, 6 and 7 will receive a 2007 Indians Schedule Magnet, while the first 4,000 fans on April 8 will go home with an Indians Schedule T-Shirt.
The Victory Field Box Office is open Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Seats for individual games are available by visiting the box office, calling Ticketmaster at 317-239-5151 or going on-line at www.IndyIndians.com.
Season tickets and mini plans are available by contacting an Indians ticket representative at 317-269-3545 ext. 258 or tickets@IndyIndians.com. Fans purchasing a mini plan before Opening Day receive $25 in Tribe Tokens to spend at Victory Field.
