
Independence, Santos Laguna Team up for Camino Community Center Visit

Charlotte (NC) - On Wednesday, September 5th, Camino Community Center will host Charlotte Independence, a United Soccer League (USL) professional soccer team, and Club Santos Laguna, the current Liga MX Champions, on their campus for a community meet and greet. This is a free event, open to the public. Camino is reaching out to local Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools to encourage event participation for the students and teachers.
The Meet and Greet will take place on September 5th, 2018 at Camino Community Center (201 Stetson Dr. Charlotte, NC 28262) from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. There will be an opportunity to meet members of each soccer team, win raffle prizes and team jerseys, and receive autographs and photo opportunities.
Later in the evening, the two teams will play against each other in an International Friendly Match on Wednesday, September 5th at the Sportsplex at Matthews. Fans are encouraged to purchase game tickets at charlotteindependence.com. The game will promote donations to Camino Community Center, who will be present at the event. Fan who donate are eligible to receive a discount at the team store upon presenting confirmation of donation during the game. All donations can be made by texting 888.456.0833.
