
Independence Day Celebration Kicks off Homestand

(LANCASTER, CA) - The biggest Independence Day fireworks show in the Antelope Valley will take place following the opener of Lancaster's seven-game homestand July 4. The JetHawks will take on Bakersfield in the opener of a three-game series July 4. Reserved seats have already sold out and grass seats are expected to sell out by the game date.
Game two of the three-game set is scheduled for July 5. It's the second of two Jr. Hawkette camps this season, which are presented by Dance Magic. Camp participants will receive dance instruction from the Hawkettes and perform a dance on the field prior to the game. First pitch is slated for 7 p.m.
The third game of the JetHawks-Blaze tilt is another We Win, You Win Wednesday. If the JetHawks defeat Bakersfield, all fans in attendance will receive a free ticket to the JetHawks next Wednesday home game, which is scheduled for July 20 against the High Desert Mavericks. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
The homestand continues with the opener of a four-game series against Rancho Cucamonga July 7. It's another Cheers Buck Beers Night with domestic draft beers available for just $1 apiece until the end of the 6th inning. First pitch is slated for 7 p.m.
Fans are encouraged to participate in the JetHawks Summer Halloween celebration by wearing the costume of their choice for the second game of the Lancaster-Rancho Cucamonga series July 8. Additionally, fans can stick around after the ballgame to watch The Nightmare Before Christmas on the video board. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
Saturday's JetHawks game features a travel mug giveaway. The first 1,200 fans in attendance will receive a JetHawks travel mug courtesy of the Jacob Hefter Foundation. First pitch is slated for 7 p.m.
The homestand finale will take place July 10 at 5 p.m. It's a Big League Dreams Sunday presented by Baskin Robbins. Fans are encouraged to wear apparel of their favorite Major League team and they will have the opportunity to play catch in the outfield before the game. Kids can run the bases after the game and the first 1,000 kids in attendance will receive a voucher for a free hot dog, chips and drink. The game will also feature Grandma's Got Talent, a talent show for senior women presented by Prestige Assisted Living.
