
Illia Tyrkus Wins USL Championship Goal of the Month

New York Red Bulls II forward Illia Tyrkus won USL Championship's Goal of the Month for May. The goal, which was the first of his professional career, came in the second half against Hartford Athletic on May 14, just four minutes after checking into the match.
The goal made Tyrkus the youngest player to score in USL Championship this season. He is also the third youngest goal scorer in club history and the 23rd youngest in league history (16 years, 287 days). He is one of two Red Bulls Academy players to score this season and the sixth since the beginning of the 2021 season.
