Detroit Ignition News Release


(Southfield, Mich., April 16, 2008) - The regular-season champion Detroit Ignition begin their playoff run this weekend, facing the fourth-seeded La Raza de Monterrey in the semifinal round of the 2008 MISL Championship Series. Game 1 is scheduled for Friday, April 18 at Arena Monterrey at 9:45 (EST); The Ignition will host Game 2 on Sunday, April 20 at Compuware Arena at 4:35 pm. A sudden death "Golden Goal" mini-match series tie-break will be played immediately following Game 2 if necessary. The winner of the series will move on to the MISL Championship Series Final on April 26 in Milwaukee, which will be broadcast live on Fox Soccer Channel.
