Ignition announces broadcast package

(Southfield, Mich., October 10, 2006) - The Detroit Ignition has announced that the club has reached an agreement to broadcast 10 home games from the inaugural 2006-07 season live on Comcast Local, a 24 hour regional sports network that provides exclusive sports programming to over 1.6 million viewers in four states, Ignition president Greg Bibb announced Tuesday. The Ignition broadcast team will include experienced play-by-play veteran Al Pawlowski. Roger Faulkner, a name synonymous with soccer in the state of Michigan, will serve as the color analyst.

"Television is imperative to the growth of our brand across the state of Michigan," Bibb stated. "I believe you need television to be relevant and with Comcast Local we have found a great partner for this important part of our business plan. I'm excited to join Comcast Local in televising 10 Ignition games during our Inaugural 2006-07 campaign."

The Ignition broadcast schedule will kick-off with the club's Inaugural Game versus the defending MISL Champion, the Baltimore Blast, on Saturday, November 4 at 7:35 pm ET. Immediately following the home opener, fans in attendance will have the opportunity to bid on inaugural game jerseys. The auction features special edition, game-worn Ignition jerseys with inaugural game insignia.
