IFL Announces Week Ten Players of the Week

The Indoor Football League is proud to announce the Players of the Week for Week 10 of the 2022 season. Vegas Quarterback, Jerod Evans, takes Offensive Player of the Week for the second time in three weeks. Linebackers from Quad City and Northern Arizona share Co-Defensive Players of the Week. Special Teams Player of the Week goes to Sioux Falls' Kick Returner, Nate Chavious.

Jerod Evans - OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Jerod Evans has only been the Vegas Knight Hawks quarterback for 3 weeks. Since then, the team is 2-1 and Evans has earned Offensive Player of the Week twice. Not a bad way to introduce yourself. This past week the Knight Hawks dismantled the San Diego Strike Force by a score of 68-23. Evans is quickly becoming a must watch every week. Against San Diego, Evans completed 13 of 18 pass attempts for 179 yards and six touchdowns.

Darin Hungerford & Nathan Sheets - CO-DEFENSIVE PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

Sometimes there is just too much talent to ignore. This week there were two defensive performances too impressive to leave out. So, they're both in. This week we have two Linebackers as Co-Defensive Players of the week. Northern Arizona Linebacker, Darin Hungerford, tallied 10 tackles, four tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, one interception and a safety. Quad City Linebacker, Nathan Sheets compiled eight tackles, one interception and one fumble recovery for a touchdown. Both performances are among the top for the season. That's why they both get the nod.

Nate Chavious - SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Nate Chavious "Returns" to the list this week. Literally and figuratively. Chavious was the Special Teams Player of the Week in week 3. That week he averaged 27.5 yards per return. In week 10 he did even better. Chavious had five returns for a total of 145 yards. That's an average of 29 yards per return. His night included a 53-yard return for a touchdown. He's dangerous.

Week 11 kicks off with two games on Friday night at 7:05 PM CST and continues on Saturday with five games. Including a battler between Frisco Fighters and the Arizona Rattlers, the top teams in each conference. Catch all of the action on the IFL YouTube Channel.
