SHREVEPORT, La. - Corpus Christi IceRays netminder Sam Best (44/45) and Leo Chuard of the Shreveport Mudbugs (30/30) combined for 74 saves on 75 shots in a goaltending duel won 1-0 by the Mudbugs at George's Pond at Hirsch Memorial Coliseum. The loss marks Corpus Christi's first since the day after Thanksgiving, snapping a junior franchise record nine-game winning streak.

The only goal of the game came at the 9:51 mark of the third period when Shreveport's Gueorgui Feduolov scored off of a 2-on-1 drop pass from Tim Khokhlachev.
