IceRays to Raise Money for Rise School at Aquarium on Tuesday

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX - Corpus Christi IceRays General Manager Pat Dunn along with Intern Natalie Harvey announced today that the team will host an "IceRays Day" at the Texas State Aquarium on Tuesday March 15, 2011 from 10am-4pm to benefit the Rise School of Corpus Christi.

During that time the team will be providing information on the Rise School. The IceRays' custom Harley-Davidson motorcycle will be on display along with many other raffle items. Raffle tickets for the motorcycle are $10 dollars each. IceRays players will make an appearance, signing autographs and taking pictures, beginning at 1pm.

"We are very excited about this event," said Harvey. "We hope to gain awareness about the Rise School and to raise money for a good cause."

Opened in 2007, the Rise School of Corpus Christi provides the highest quality of early childhood education to all children including those with special needs or developmental disabilities. On March 25, 2011, the IceRays will hold Pack the House for Charity Night starting at 7:05 pm with proceeds benefiting the school.

The IceRays finish their four-game homestand on Friday, March 11th at 7:05 PM when they host the Texas Tornado at the American Bank Center on Boy Scouts Night.
