Corpus Christi IceRays News Release
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX - The Corpus Christi IceRays have signed their first tender of the season. Forward William Clark became the IceRays first signed tender of the season.
Clark attended IceRays camp in Dallas over the summer but opted to remain with his current team, the Dallas Stars U18.
"The IceRays organization is excited about Will's decision to sign with us for next year," said head coach Justin Quenneville. "The first thing fans will notice from him are his presence (6'6) and mobility. He is extremely talented and poise at his size and will be another great piece to the puzzle for next season."
So far this year with the Dallas Stars U18 team, Clark has six goals and six assists in 13 games played. This is his second year with the U18 team in Dallas. Last year, Clark put up 20 points in 36 games.
The IceRays still have eleven tenders to sign throughout the season. They received the extra tender when trading Ben Hughes to Minot, for one tender.
By signing a tender, this prevents him from joining any other team in the next season if he lands in the NAHL for the 2012-2013 season.
"We look forward to seeing Will play a few games with us this season, and staple himself in an environment with several opportunities and exposure for his future."
The IceRays are home this afternoon as they host the Amarillo Bulls. Puck drops at 3:05PM, coverage begins at 2:50PM with the IceRays Pregame Show on ESPN Radio 1440AM.
