
IceRays Shut Out 2-0 by New Mexico

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX - The Corpus Christi IceRays were unable to figure out the New Mexico Mustangs as they lose 2-0 settling with a weekend split inside the American Bank Center on Saturday night.
There was no scoring in the first period of action however the IceRays had opportunities in the period but hit several posts.
Marcus Nordland broke the scoreless game on the power-play 6:26 into the second period assisted by Adam Chapie and Josh Bretner to give the Mustangs a 1-0 lead.
The Mustangs scored just 3:30 into the final period of play as Dallas Crum beat goaltender Chris Komma to give New Mexico a 2-0 lead. The win by New Mexico was the first over the IceRays this season.
Chris Komma stopped 27 of 29 shots in the loss which was the IceRays fifth loss in six games.
The IceRays are back on home ice nest Friday and Saturday night against Topeka. Friday night is Stars & Stripes Night, come honor military, police, fire, etc. Puck drops at 7:05PM, coverage begins at 6:50PM with the IceRays Pregame Show on ESPN Radio 1440AM.
