CORPUS CHRISTI, TX - Over 75 players flocked to the Dr. Pepper Star Center in Valley Ranch, Texas for the Pre-Draft Camp that was hosted by the Corpus Christi IceRays.
The three day event kicked off on Friday morning for the first set of practices as players arrived from all over to participate. The teams were split up into three separate squads, and each had practices in the morning followed by games in the afternoon.
After Saturday's festivities concluded, the three teams were then trimmed down to two for the All Star Game on Sunday. Players received special camp uniforms that they were able to keep.
"Pre-Draft Camp was a success and we couldn't be happier with the turnout," said head coach Justin Quenneville. "Our staff was impressed with the level of play and the competiveness throughout the camp. I would like to thank the entire hockey staff and team representatives that were on hand to help make this another success and professionally operated event."
The IceRays would also like to thank the Dr. Pepper Star Center in Valley Ranch, Texas for hosting the Pre-Draft Camp and look forward to returning in August for the team's Main Camp. "We would like to thank Chris Kostopolous and the Alliance Youth Hockey Association for allowing us to use their beautiful facility.
