IceRays Ink Two More Tenders

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX - The Corpus Christi IceRays continue to sign tenders for next season, adding Drew Doyon and Grant Hutton to the list of tenders inked for the 2012-2013 season.

Doyon, a forward, is a member of the Indiana Jr. Ice 16U squad where in 16 games played this season, has 14 goals and 12 assists while registering 60 PIM's. Doyon is also a vital member of the power-play scoring three power-play goals and assisting four more.

Grant Hutton, a defenseman, also on the Indiana Jr. Ice 16U team, has notched four goals and 14 assists, along with 23 penalty minutes.

IceRays head coach Justin Quenneville spoke highly of the signings. "We are excited about our two recent signed Tenders. Both Drew and Grant were highly recruited players in our league and decided to sign with us. We look forward to seeing them this summer at Main Camp. Both bring great attributes with Drew's skill set and play making abilities, and Grant's powerful shot and size on the back end."

The Indiana Jr. Ice U16 just won the U16 NAPHL championship in Troy this past weekend, which five IceRays players attended. The U18 championship at this tournament was won by California Titans who is coached by Scott Yorkinson and IceRays Scout Luc Beausoleil. The Titans are the former team of Joe Ginley last year and Phoenix Copley the year before. The NAPHL is a development league for the NAHL.

The IceRays are in action tonight in Odessa to take on the Jackalopes. Puck drops at 7:05PM, coverage begins at 6:50PM with the IceRays Pregame Show on ESPN Radio 1440AM.
