IceRays Announce Home Date Change, Showcase Opponents

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - The Corpus Christi IceRays announced Monday updates to the 2019-20 schedule, including one home game date change, as well as the team's four-game schedule for the 2019 NAHL Showcase.

Due to a concert conflict at the American Bank Center Arena, the IceRays' Nov. 8-9 (Friday/Saturday) home weekend set against the Amarillo Bulls has been shifted one day earlier. The teams will now face off on Thursday, Nov. 7, and Friday, Nov. 8. Puck drop remains at 7:05 PM for both nights.

Additionally, the North American Hockey League (NAHL) unveiled the full schedule for the 2019 NAHL Showcase at the Schwan Super Rink in Blaine, Minn. The IceRays will play in four regular season contests at the NAHL Showcase:

Wednesday, Sept. 18 8:00 PM vs. St. Cloud Blizzard (Rink #4)

Thursday, Sept. 19 1:30 PM at Chippewa Steel (Rink #2)

Friday, Sept. 20 7:30 PM vs. Minnesota Wilderness (Rink #2)

Saturday, Sept. 21 3:30 PM at Springfield Jr. Blues (Rink #1)

IceRays players report to Texas later this month for the team's 2019 Training Camp in College Station. The IceRays will compete in preseason games Sept. 6-8 at the NYTEX Sports Centre in North Richland Hills, home of the Lone Star Brahmas, against the Springfield Jr. Blues (Sept. 6-5:45 PM), Shreveport Mudbugs (Sept. 7-2:10 PM) and Brahmas (Sept. 8-5:45 PM).

The 22nd season of IceRays hockey in the Coastal Bend starts Sept. 13-14 at the Topeka Pilots, followed by the NAHL Showcase the next week in Minnesota. The home opener takes place Thursday, Oct. 10 against the Odessa Jackalopes. Puck drop at American Bank Center is set for 7:05 PM.
