IceMen Release Four Players; Roster at 21

EVANSVILLE, IN.--- After completing their brief two-game pre-season schedule with a perfect 2(2-0-0) mark, undefeated and unscored upon, the Evansville IceMen of the Central Hockey League have trimmed their current player roster to 21 with the release of four players from this season ‚¬â„¢s training camp.

The IceMen have announced that they have released right wing Alec Kirschner and center/right wing Zach Tatrn while at the same time waiving left wing Matt Schmermund and center Brad Smulders. Kirschner and Tatrn had been invited to the Evansville training camp on tryout agreements. Schmermund and Smulders had previously signed contract agreements with the IceMen.

General Manager / Head Coach Rich Kromm ‚¬â„¢s lineup presently consists of 2-goaltenders, 7-defensemen and 12-forwards.

GOALTENDERS: BRIAN GILLIS, PIER-OLIVIER PELLETIER

DEFENSE: MATT GENS, ADAM KNOPP, JORDAN LITTLE, STEVEN MAKWAY JAKE OBERMEYER, PHILIPPE PLANTE, NICK SCHNEIDER

CENTERS: BRIAN BICEK, MARIO BOILARD, NICKLAS LINDBERG, TODD ROBINSON

LEFT WING: JOSH BEAULIEU, MARK CODY, MATT PIERCE, MIKE SGROI

RIGHT WING: MALCOLM GWILLIAM, DUSTIN JOHNSON, SEAN O ‚¬â„¢CONNOR JOHN RONAN.

The IceMen launch their second AA/CHL season this Saturday night, October 22nd when they journey to Fort Wayne to be hosted by the Komets in a 6:30 pm face-off with broadcast time on flagship WEOA-AM 1400 and network affiliates WMSK-AM 1550 in Morganfield, KY and WITZ-AM 990 and WITZ-FM 104.7 in Jasper, IN set for 6:00 pm.
