Evansville IceMen News Release

EVANSVILLE, IN.--- The Evansville IceMen pro hockey team is in the spirit of the holiday season in the Tri-State region this season.

On Christmas Day, Saturday, December 25th, many of the IceMen players and related personnel will be sharing the gift of giving when many of them spend the special holiday with the community at the United Care Shelter.

IceMen players Mark Cody, Jordan Lane, Jake Pence, Nick Schneider and Damian Surma, along with team Equipment Manager Jason Schweinsberg will be preparing the Christmas feast and serving dinner beginning at 12:00 noon at the shelter.

The IceMen players will be arriving at the United Care Shelter between 10:00 am and 11:00am Christmas morning to begin the preparations.

IceMen left wing Mark Cody is looking forward to the opportunity to participate and be a part of the Evansville community on Christmas Day. "We are looking forward to spending Christmas day with the Evansville community. Our team loves playing pro hockey in front of such a large, loyal, enthusiastic city. The players just want to give back to the community that has been giving so much to us. What better way to do this then by lending a helping hand and being part of the true meaning of the holiday season and the spirit of giving."

The IceMen team is in the midst of an extended 6-game road trip and playing 10 of 11-games on the road during the holiday season. Christmas Day is one of the few days in which the IceMen team is not traveling during the rigorous stretch.
