
IceMen Add Pro Hockey's Leading Point Man

EVANSVILLE, Ind.- The Evansville IceMen, presented by Coors Light, have signed North American professional hockey's leading scorer by inking Justin MacDonald. The Canadian forward has netted 44 goals in 46 games with the Watertown Wolves of the FHL.
In addition to lighting the lamp 44 times, MacDonald also has 58 helpers, which gives him 102 points total on the season. MacDonald has collected a point in 42 of his 46 games. Two times this season, the Newmarket, Ontario built a 14 game point streak.
On 34 separate occasions, MacDonald has posted multi point games. He owns a +35 rating on the year. The 6'1, 180 pounder has four hat tricks this season alone and one 4-goal game. MacDonald is also no stranger to the sin bin with 71 PIMs this season.
To put MacDonald's season in perspective, the NHL's leading scorer, Patrick Kane, has 64 points. The AHL's leading scorer, Teemu Pulkkinen stands at 57 points. Chad Costello, the ECHL's leading scorer is the closest to MacDonald's numbers with 26 goals and 59 assists for 85 points. The SPHL's leading scorer, Corey Banfield has mustered 54 points, four less than the number of assists that MacDonald has. MacDonald leads his closes competition in the Federal League by 21 points.
In exactly 200 professional games, MacDonald has 208 points including 89 goals. The 24-year-old played on the 2012-13 Pensacola Ice Flyers and won an SPHL Championship that season.
MacDonald is expected to make his ECHL debut with IceMen on Wednesday night when they play the rival Fort Wayne Komets to conclude their season-long seven-game road trip. The game begins at 6:30 p.m. and can be seen at Bar Louie, the Official Watch Party Destination of the Evansville IceMen. Wednesday's game can be heard live on ESPN Evansville 105.3, ESPNevansville.com, and ECHL TV.
On Saturday night, the IceMen will finally return to home ice for the first time in three weeks when the host the Cincinnati Cyclones at 7:15 p.m. It will be Hockey Across America night where fans will be encouraged to wear their favorite hockey team (IceMen) jersey to Saturday's game. Fans in jerseys can visit the sales to get a raffle ticket and a chance to win fabulous prizes.
Plus the IceMen will auction off their Ottawa Senators Heritage jerseys in a live post-game auction. Fans will also have a chance to bid on player designed Teddy Bears in a silent auction held during the game.
