IceHogs Set to Kickoff Summer Street Hockey Initiative
June 9, 2010 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Rockford IceHogs News Release
The season may be over for the Rockford IceHogs, but that does not mean the team is done bringing hockey to the community. This summer, the organization will launch its first ever IceHogs' Summer Street Hockey Initiative thanks in part to an equipment donation by the Chicago Blackhawks, Rockford's NHL affiliate.
Each session will last one to two hours and feature a brief hockey tutorial by a member of the IceHogs staff, an appearance by either Hammy or Hammer and a game of floor hockey.
The IceHogs' Summer Street Hockey Initiative officially kicks off at Northeast YMCA in Loves Park on Tuesday, June 15.
