IceHogs, Register Star introduce fan of the week

Rockford, Ill.- The Rockford IceHogs have teamed up with the Rockford Register Star to feature the IceHogs "Fan of the Week". The feature will run every Thursday during the 2005-06 regular season in "The Weekly" section in Rockford's only daily newspaper.

The promotion is a part of the IceHogs '05-06 marketing campaign, "Feel The Power, Be The Noise". The fans have an opportunity to be the noise at all 38 regular season home games, and each week the Register Star will pick out a lucky IceHogs fan for the weekly feature. Come to the MetroCentre and you could be picked as the next "Fan of the Week". Each winner will receive a Register Star Dining Card.

This week's "Fan of the Week" is Matthew and Dawn Mashon. For questions about the IceHogs "Fan of the Week" in the Register Star, contact the Hogs office at (815) 986-6465.

Next Home Game: Friday, October 28 vs. Missouri River Otters. The puck drops at 7:05 p.m. The IceHogs and River Otters meet for the second time in the young season. The first 1,000 fans to the game will receive IceHogs Poster #1 from Medicine Man, Pepsi and Johnson Press. Also, the Hogs will host their annual costume contest for kids and adults. Come dressed up and you can walk away with some fabulous IceHogs prizes and then you can trick-or-treat with the Hogs following the game. Call (815) 968-5222 for tickets.
