IceGators Announce plans for Reunion Week 2004

Lafayette, LA â In honor of their 10th anniversary season, the Louisiana IceGators today announced the plans for "Reunion Week 2004", a three day event celebrating the return of past IceGator players to Acadiana.
"Reunion Week 2004" will take place in the days leading up to the 2nd IceGators home game of the season, Friday November 12, when the Gators take on their arch rivals, the Mississippi Sea Wolves. The festivities will begin with a golf tournament on Wednesday, Nov.10, a "Welcome Home" banquet on Thursday, Nov. 11, and a special "Reunion Week 2004" tribute at the game on Nov. 12.
"It is hard to believe it is approaching ten years. I can't wait to come back to Lafayette" said former IceGator All Star Goaltender Bryan Schoen. "Seeing some of the guys from those teams, and especially the fans and friends I made, I am really looking forward to it. Those times were easily the best of my career."
In addition to Schoen, other IceGator greats slated to return include, Chris Valicevic, Jack Williams, Rob Weingartner, Joey Mittelsteadt, Doug Bonner, Chuck Thuss, Rod Pasma, Jason McQuat, Ron Handy and Ryan Shanahan. More players will be announced in the upcoming weeks.
"I am forward to seeing my old friends and teammates" said seven time All-Star defenseman Chris Valicevic. "I think the fans and players will enjoy getting together and revisiting some of the good times we had as a community."
