IceDiggers acquire forward Zimmerman from OHL

The Team Toledo IceDiggers of the NAHL are proud to announce they have acquired the rights of Scott Zimmerman from the Mississauga IceDogs of the Ontario Hockey League.

Zimmerman, a 2/6/87 birthdate, played for the IceDogs last season recorded three goals and two assists in 35 games. He is a native of Rochester, Minnesota. Zimmerman began this season with Mississauga before being acquired by Toledo.

"We are extremely excited to get a player of Scott's caliber," said Toledo GM Mike Mankowski. "He is a dynamic player who is not only a gritty competitor, but also has a very high level of skill."

In his first action this past weekend, Zimmerman recorded Toledo's only two goals in Saturday's 3-2 shootout loss versus Youngstown.

The IceDiggers play the Soo Kewadin Indians at home this Friday, November 12, 2004. Game time is 7:30 p.m. at the Toledo Ice House. The IceDiggers are currently tied with Youngstown for second place in the NAHL's North Division.
