St. Louis Bandits News Release
The Bandits are pleased to announce that they have partnered with TRZ Sports to provide web casting for all remaining Bandits home games of the 2004-05 season that are not otherwise being webcast.
"This is yet another positive step for the Texarkana Bandits and the North American Hockey League in becoming the best and most visible Junior hockey league in America," said GM/head coach Jon Cooper. "We are extremely pleased to bring our fans across the country as close to the action as possible."
The schedule of webcasts and the webcasts themselves can be accessed on the Bandits official website by clicking on the "Listen Live" link on the home page.
Bandits Fight Back to Win a close one
The Bandits fought back from a 3-1 deficit in the last nine minutes of Saturday's game to secure sole possession of second place in the NAHL South. Steve Bandurski tied the game with 20 seconds left to send the game to overtime. Both goalies were tough in the extra period stopping all eight shots and sending the game to a shootout. The Bandits had to fight back again in the shootout as they found themselves down 3-0 after the first three Wildcat shooters. Aaron Lewicki, Anthony Becker and Jason Price then scored on the Bandits next three shots as Riley Gill shut the door on the remaining shooters. Gill opened the door for the Bandits win by stopping the first Wichita Falls shot in the sudden death round of the shootout and Matt Taormina sealed it, going one hole on Wildcat goalie Tyler Brigl.
On Friday, the Bandits beat the Central Texas Marshals (6-11-2) in Belton by a score of 5-0 for the second time this year. The Bandits are 2-1 on the road against the Marshals this year, and are .500 against them in Texarkana. Akim Ramoul, Pat Galivan, and Jason Price all contributed goals and assists on the night, and Casey Haines added two assists as the Bandits displayed a total team effort in their win, with 10 different players scoring points.
