IceCaps Sign Andrew Panzarella to ATO

The St. John's IceCaps announced they have signed forward/defenceman Andrew Panzarella to an amateur tryout contract.

Panzarella, 25, is coming off a four-year collegiate career with the University of North Dakota (NCAA), where he recorded 10 points (2G, 8A) and 69 penalty minutes in 77 games.

Prior to enrolling at North Dakota, the Washington, D.C. native played in 216 games in the USHL with Des Moines, Tri-City and Waterloo, collecting 40 points (8G, 32A) and 654 penalty minutes.

The IceCaps wrap up their season-ending six-game home stand Friday and Saturday vs. the Springfield Falcons (7:30 p.m. NDT), as part of Fan Appreciation Month.
