Pirates Announce Three Roster Moves

Saco, ME - The Portland Pirates today announced three roster moves. Goalie Mike Lee has been recalled from the Pirates' ECHL affiliate, the Gwinnett Gladiators. Forward Ryan MacInnis has been signed to an Amateur Tryout Contract, while the team released forward Corey Trivino from his Professional Tryout Contract.

Lee, a 6-foot-1, 190 pound goalie from Roseau, Minnesota, has made two appearances for Portland this season, posting a 0-1-0 record, a 3.41 goals against average, and a 0.848 save percentage. With Gwinnett this season, the 24 year-old played in 17 games with a record of 4-11-2, a 3.54 GAA, and a 0.895 save percentage. Lee, an Arizona Coyotes 3rd Round NHL Entry Draft selection in 2009, is in his third professional season. Prior to turning pro, he played three seasons of NCAA Division I hockey with the St. Cloud State University Huskies and won a gold medal with Team USA at the 2010 IIHF World Junior Championship.

MacInnis, a 6-foot-4, 185 pound center from St. Louis, Missouri, joins the Pirates after finishing his second season with the OHL's Kitchener Rangers. The 19 year-old played 67 regular season games with Kitchener this season, scoring 25 goals and 37 assists for 62 points. In six playoff games with the Rangers this season, MacInnis scored three goals and five assists for eight points. MacInnis, who is still eligible to play major junior hockey next season, was a 2014 2nd Round NHL Entry Draft Selection of the Arizona Coyotes. He is the son of former NHL All-Star defenseman Al MacInnis.

Trivino, a 6-foot-1, 193 pound center from Toronto, Ontario, played a total of 39 games with Portland this season. He scored three goals and added 11 assists for 14 points. The 25 year-old was originally signed to a Professional Tryout Contract on November 18. Trivino will rejoin his ECHL team, the Florida Everblades, in time to begin their East Division Semifinal Series against the Orlando Solar Bears this Friday night. Prior to joining Portland, Trivino logged five games with Florida, scoring six goals and three assists for nine points.

The Pirates Push for the Playoffs concludes this weekend as they play their final three games of the regular season, starting on the road this Friday with Game 12 of the VIP Cup Series, Presented by VIP Tires & Service, against the Manchester Monarchs from Verizon Wireless Arena. Game time is 7:00 p.m., and you can hear all the action with the Voice of the Pirates, Jeff Mannix, beginning with the Pirates Pregame Show at 6:40 on WLOB AM-1310.
