IceCaps Release Three from Tryout

St. John's IceCaps News Release


The St. John's IceCaps today announced they have released forwards Kyle Rogers and Josh Lunden from their professional tryout contracts. They have also released Scott Zurevinski from his amateur tryout contract.

Rogers, 27, played in two games with the St. John's IceCaps this season. He started the season in 72 games with the Toledo Walleye of the ECHL this season. In that time, the Philadelphia, PA native recorded 44 points (20G, 24A) and 41 penalty minutes. The right-winger has played 143 career AHL games between Toronto, Grand Rapids and St. John's for 21 career points (9G, 12A) and 95 career penalty minutes.

Lunden, 26, played in 11 games with the IceCaps this season. In that time, the Couquitlam, BC native earned one assist and seven penalty minutes. He has played in 34 career AHL games between San Antonio, Peoria, St. John's and Houston for three career assists and 20 penalty minutes.

Zurevinski, 23, played in eight games with the IceCaps and recorded 11 penalty minutes during that time. He played 39 games with Quinnipiac University of the ECAC this season. In that time, the Saskatoon, SK native has recorded 19 points (5G, 14A) and 64 penalty minutes.
