IceCaps Edged by Marlies in Preseason Opener

Stephenville, N.L (October 1, 2015) - The IceCaps took to the ice Thursday night for the first time this season against the Toronto Marlies at the Stephenville Dome for Game 1 of the Colemans Cup. The IceCaps fell 3-2 with the Marlies scoring in the last minute of play to steal the win.
Jeremy Gregoire and Morgan Ellis each had a goal, with Joel Hanley and Nikita Scherbak picking up assists. Goaltenders Eddie Pasquale and Zachary Fucale split the game almost 50/50, with Pasquale clocking 30:13 in net, and Fucale minding the remaining 29:47.
The IceCaps face the Marlies again tomorrow, this time in Corner Brook, for Game 2 of the Colemans Cup.
