Ice Welcomes Two-Time Champion Memphis RiverKings
November 6, 2003 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
Indianapolis Ice News Release
INDIANAPOLIS, IN - The Indianapolis Ice (3-3-1) looks to turn things around when the team welcomes the President Cup Champion Memphis RiverKings for a weekend home set. Both games are scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at the Pepsi Coliseum.
These two squads have a long and rivaled history between one another with a total of 44 games in four plus seasons. The RiverKings hold the series lead and are coming in with an impressive 9-1-0 record against the Ice in their last ten meetings.
Despite the Ice's offensive struggles of late, the defense and goaltending have been respectful. The goaltending tandem of Jeff Sanger and last week's CHL Goaltender of the Week Brent Zelenewich have a combined save percentage of .909 and a goals against average of 2.57.
Tickets for this weekends games can be purchased at all Ticketmaster locations including select Marsh Supermarkets, Karma Records, select L.S. Ayres, and the Indiana State Fairgrounds and Conseco Fieldhouse box offices, or by calling 239-5151 or online at ticketmaster.com.
