The Winnipeg ICE have recalled goaltender Dawson Cowan from the Winnipeg Blues of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League and forward Ty Fraser from the Lethbridge Hurricanes U18 AAA team of the Alberta Elite Hockey League
Cowan, 16, from Warren, Manitoba has appeared in 14 games with the Blues sporting a 6-5 record, 3.40 goals against average and .890 save percentage.
He appeared in one WHL preseason game September 10th in Regina making 29 of 34 saves in a 5-4 loss to the Pats.
Fraser, 16, from Raymond, Alberta has 27 points (18 goals and nine assists) in 25 games with Lethbridge this season.
He played three games registering five shots on goal with the ICE earlier this season.
Listed at 6'2", 194 pounds, Fraser was selected by the ICE in the fifth round, 94th overall in the 2020 WHL Prospects Draft.
The ICE host the Calgary Hitmen, 7:00 tonight at the ICE Cave inside Wayne Fleming Arena.
In association with SheIS, the ICE are celebrating International Women's Day. Former Hockey Canada Olympian and IIHF Women's World Hockey Champion Bailey Bram along with CTV Morning Live host Nicole Dube will be in attendance taking part in a ceremonial faceoff.
