THREE IN THREE: The Ice played three games in three nights for the second consecutive weekend and went 2-1-0 with a road win at Youngstown and a split at home with Lincoln.
12/10 at YNG- Cab Morris tossed a 23-save shutout and Bryon Paulazzo took care of the offense with a pair of goals in the Ice's 3-0 victory at Youngstown.
12/11 vs. LIN- A late Lincoln tally was the only goal on the scoreboard in the Stars' 1-0 win over Indiana...Casey DeSmith was strong between the pipes with 26 saves.
12/12 vs. LIN- The Ice fought back to dim the Stars 4-3 in a shootout...Cab Morris stopped 40 shots during the game and all four attempts in the shootout, while the Ice got regulation goals from Shane Berschbach, Antti Roppo and Nic Dowd and shootout markers from Berschbach and Bryon Paulazzo.
"BLAZING NETS": Ice goaltenders Cab Morris and Casey DeSmith set the all-time Ice record for consecutive scoreless minutes as the duo kept their opponents at bay for 161:56 during the team's recent three-game stretch against Omaha, Youngstown and Lincoln. The previous record occurred in 2005-06 when Steve Jakiel-Curry rode a pair of back to back 1-0 shutouts against Tri-City on 3/3/06 and 3/4/06 and posted an overall scoreless string of 148:17.
SHOOTOUT SOLDIERS: With Saturday's win, the Ice is 2-0 in shootouts this season. Goaltender Cab Morris is the top shootout goaltender in the USHL as he has stopped all eight opponents' attempts, while Shane Berschbach is a perfect two for two in the extra session.
PLAYER MARKS: Cab Morris is first in the league in GAA (2.01), shutouts (3) and save percentage (.926)...Bryon Paulazzo is tied for third in plus/minus (+16)...Max Cook (2G, 3A), Paulazzo (2G, 2A) and Nic Dowd (2G, A) have points in three of their last four games.
TEAM TRACES: The Ice is 9-2-0 against the East Division and 5-7-1 against the West Division...Indy is second in the league on the penalty kill (86.2%) and has killed off 19 of their foes' last 20 power plays...The Ice is 6-2-1 in one-goal games....Indy is 13th in the USHL at home on the power play (16.3%).
ALUMNI SALUTE: Patrick Cullen (2007-08) handed out two assists in RPI's 5-3 over Boston University on Friday...Torey Krug (2008-09) scored the game-winner in Michigan State's 3-2 overtime win over BGSU...Cody Reichard (2005-07) had 17 saves for Miami in Friday's 6-0 blanking of Ohio State...Alex Kangas (2006-07) stopped 45 of 49 shots for Minnesota in a weekend sweep of Michigan Tech.
