Tulsa Oilers News Release

The Tulsa Oilers Ice Girls, who are used to serving up entertainment, will be serving up pancakes for a good cause Saturday morning.

Ice Girls will be on hand at the Longhorn Steak house on 71st Street by Woodland Hills Mall serving pancakes in a special "Hotcakes for Haiti" event. The Pancake breakfast is from 7 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Cost is just $5 for all you can eat pancakes.

Proceeds from the event will go purchase water filters for victims of the Haitian earthquake. Tickets can be purchased at the door.

Along with the breakfast, there will be a number of auction items, including Oiler tickets and souvenirs. All auction proceeds will also go to purchase HydrAid water filters.

"We're thrilled to have the Oilers and the Ice Girls helping out with this event," Amy Deacon, general manager of the Longhorn Steakhouse said. "One of our employees is from Haiti and his family still lives outside of Port Au Prince so we know there is a real need for this."

The Oilers play at Wichita Wednesday and at Missouri Friday with both games starting at 7:05 p.m. They return home Saturday to take on Bossier-Shreveport at 7:35 p.m. That will be military appreciation night, with the Oilers wearing special camouflage jerseys that will be auctioned after the game.

Tickets for all Oilers games are available at the BOK Center box office or by calling 1-866-7-BOK CTR (726-5287). Tickets can also be purchased on line at www.tulsaoilers.com and at area Reasor's Grocery Stores.
