
Ice Flyers Lose Preseason Game in OT against the Bulls, 4-3

PENSACOLA, Fla. - The Pensacola Ice Flyers lost 4-3 in overtime against the Birmingham Bulls in the preseason game. Matt Johnson, Brett D'Andrea and Brian Bowen scored for the Ice Flyers. Adam Logozzo, Kasey Kulczycki, Loren Ulett and Josh Harris scored for the Bulls.
Adam Logozzo of the Birmingham Bulls opened up the scoring 7:22 into the first with a power play goal. He was assisted by Shane Topf. A little over a minute later at 8:37 Matt Johnson tied the game with an unassisted goal. In the first the Ice Flyers outshot the Bulls 12 to 10.
At 5:53 in the second on a pass from Brantley Sherwood, Brett D'Andrea brought the Ice Flyers up 2-1 over the Bulls. The Bulls outshot the Ice Flyers 11 to 8.
The Bulls tied the game 3:32 into the third. Kasey Kulczycki scored on an assist from Shane Topf, Topf's second of the night. Just 15 seconds later, Brian Bowen put Pensacola in the lead once more. He was assisted by John Schiavo. At 11:15 Loren Ulett tied the game for Birmingham. Austin Daae assisted. Neither team was able to score again in regulation, forcing the game into overtime. Pensacola had 12 shots on goal, while Birmingham had 9.
Josh Harris on an assist from Garrett Johnston scored for Birmingham with 24 seconds left in overtime.

The Ice Flyers will travel to Macon for the Season Opener on Friday, October 19 at 6:30 p.m.
