
Ice Dogs Get Win in Shootout

The Ice Dogs took the lead first with a goal early in the third. Only 8 seconds later though, Matt Long evened things up with a goal off assists from Bray Tomlak and Kyle Meeh. Matt Long then scored again in the first period, this time off assists from Brennan Blaszczak and Josh Bell. Fairbanks scored a goal in the third an force the game to overtime. In overtime neither team was able to find the back of the net so the game was sent to a shootout. In the shootout, Tommy Nappier was able to block 2 out of the 3 shots he face but Fairbanks blocked all three and picked up the 3-2 win.
Tommy Nappier had 30 saves in the loss.
The Jr. Blues head up to Alaska next weekend to take on the Kenai River Brown Bears.
