Indiana Ice News Release

With a playoff spot hanging in the balance, the Green Bay Gamblers were going to give the Indiana Ice everything they had to try and secure a spot in the post season.

They threw everything at Ice goaltender Jason Pawloski, but he was equal to the task as the Omaha, NE native logged his third shutout of the season to secure a 2-0 victory and sweep the Gamblers at the Resch Center.

Pawloski faced 32 shots over the course of the game, but a majority of the heat came during the third period when Green Bay peppered him with a 21-shot barrage in the final 20 minutes.

Alex Talcott and Dwyer Tschantz potted the goals in the contest while Jacob Pritchard added an assist to bring his weekend total to three points (2G, A).

The normally potent Indy offense was limited to only 11 shots in the second period, but made the most of the limited opportunities as both goals came in the middle frame.

Talcott buried a feed from team captain Tyler Pham for his sixth goal of the season while Tschantz's power play bullet finalized the tilt at 2-0 with helpers from Scott Conway and Pritchard.

Indy remains on the road for Friday's contest against the Muskegon Lumberjacks before returning home for Saturday's match with the Youngstown Phantoms at Pan Am Pavilion.

Hockey returns to Bankers Life Fieldhouse next Sunday (3/23) as the Ice host Muskegon for "Family Night," presented by the Sexton Companies. Fans in attendance will be treated to a free post-game concert by the performing artists "New Method."
