
Ice Bears Restructure Front Office, Promote Feather

Knoxville, TN - The Knoxville Ice Bears President and General Manager Mike Murray announced today the Knoxville Ice Bears have promoted Assistant General Manager Dave Feather to the position of Executive Vice President. He will be responsible for many of the day to day operations of the team as the Ice Bears enter their landmark 15th season.
Feather joined the Ice Bears in the fall of 2003 where he served as the Director of Corporate Partnerships. After two successful seasons, he moved to Charlotte to serve as the Director of Corporate Partnerships for the Charlotte Checkers (ECHL affiliate of the New York Rangers) for one season before being promoted to Director of Sales. In 2007, Feather was welcomed back to Knoxville after serving as the Ticket Department Manager of the Reading Royals (ECHL affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings). He returned as the Director of Corporate Partnerships and also assisting as Director of Group Sales. In 2009, he was promoted to Assistant General Manager.
"I, along with my co-owners, am thrilled with this opportunity to provide Dave with this promotion. He has worked tirelessly in growing the Knoxville Ice Bears to where we are today. We have enjoyed a tremendous amount of success here, and as we look to the future of our organization Dave is a key piece to have in place for our growth. We have a couple more exciting announcements to make over the next few weeks," said Murray.
Feather spent four years active duty in the Air Force before moving to Knoxville and receiving two degrees from the University of Tennessee; an undergraduate degree in Sport Management (2001) and Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing (2002).
