Ice Bats to Discuss Future Plans

The Austin Ice Bats of the Central Hockey League have scheduled a 5:30pm press conference on Wednesday, February 15th to discuss the team's plans for the 2006-07 season.

Following the press conference, the Ice Bats will then conduct the latest edition of the team's "Speaker Series," which all fans are welcome to attend, starting at 6pm. Ice Bats President Jeff Buch, Coach Bill McDonald, defenseman Darryl McArthur and forward Britt Dougherty will be available to answer questions not only on the team's future plans, but also about the current season.

With a 4-3 win Wednesday over Memphis, the Ice Bats ran their record in 2006 to 12-2-1 and solidified their hold on second place in the CHL Southeast Division. Now 22-19-3 on the season, the Ice Bats will play Friday at Oklahoma City, then return for a pair of home games this weekend. The Ice Bats will host Amarillo Saturday night at 7:30pm, with free trading card sets to 3,000 fans. Then Sunday at 4pm, the Bats face Youngstown for the first time, with a free post-game skate with the players following the contest.

Individual game tickets range in price from $11 to $35, depending on section, with discounted rates for groups of 15 or more.
