Indiana Ice News Release
INDIANAPOLIS - The Indiana Ice announced today that the team has acquired defenseman Luke McManus from the Omaha Lancers for future considerations.
McManus joins an Ice defensive corps that has carried only six skaters for the brunt of the season. The Apple Valley, MN native saw action in 21 games for Omaha recording four assists and 32 penalty minutes.
The 6-1, 190-pound blueliner already has secured a future college commitment to the University of Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs of the Western College Hockey Association (WCHA).
McManus is expected to join his new teammates sometime this week. Indiana travels to Cedar Rapids, IA for a game tonight at 8:05 pm against the RoughRiders before returning to the Pepsi Coliseum this weekend for home games Friday against Chicago and Saturday versus Green Bay. Face-off is 7:30 pm for both home contests.
