The East Coast's first outdoor shopping center since 1938, Carytown is home to over 300 locally-owned businesses from Thompson Street to the Boulevard, featuring unique boutiques, award-winning restaurants, specialty shops, spas and professional services. Voted "Best Shopping Neighborhood in Virginia" by the readers of Southern Living Magazine, Carytown offers distinctive landmarks, including Cary Court and The Byrd Theater, Richmond's movie palace since 1928, and the family-friendly "Mile of Style" invites patrons of all ages to eat, shop and play.
