Duluth Huskies News Release
The Duluth Huskies (2-2) made 1,271 fans very happy with a 7-4 win against the Alexandria Blue Anchors.
The Huskies were hot from the get go, scoring one in the second and three in the third inning with the help of two balks in the 3rd. Bo Hellquist started off strong with a solid 6.2 innings pitched. He only let up one hit, two runs, and struck out six batters. Austin Carpenter came in to close it out in the 9th while striking out two batters.
Alex Wojciechowski went 4-4 with a RBI. TJ Martin also had a multi-hit night going 2-4. The Huskies scored another three runs in the 7th inning. The Huskies closed the game out with 12 hits and 0 errors.
The action continues tomorrow (July 5th) as the Huskies take on the Mankato MoonDogs at 5:05pm.
